MIKE CHARLWOOD
Owner, Personal Trainer, Group Instructor
Hi I’m Mike, the owner of Priority1 Fitness Ltd. which opened in Newport Industrial Estate in 2018. I have been a Personal Trainer for over ten years and love working in an industry where people are always trying to better themselves.
I have been into sports since an early age, playing hockey, rugby and cricket.
It’s my job and my passion to help you push through your boundaries and create the best facility for you to train in.
At Priority1 Fitness we aim to cater for everybody from beginners to athletes, making fitness accessible regardless of your age, shape, size or fitness level.
As an Asthmatic who was a heavy smoker for 25 years, my CV levels were poor so I challenged myself to complete a series of challenges when I gave up
smoking in 2010. I completed the Virtual Marathon in 2020 and went on to complete the 'live' London Marathon in 20212, 2022 and 2023!

Hi! I’m Rachel and I'm a professional dancer, fitness instructor and personal trainer! When Covid put a pause on my dance career, I took the opportunity to follow my other dream- of becoming a fitness professional. I graduated school with a L6 diploma in dance before spending the next few years travelling and performing all over the world.

I'm Lucie - and I've been with Priority1 Fitness since the start.
I love the inclusivity of our space and the positive friendly attitude of all the trainers here. I love what I do and I'm always keen to learn more and bring new ideas to the members of Priority1 Fitness.
I have a passion for body positivity and confidence building. It's not always about the muscles! I can help you get to know your way around the gym - so you can walk right in with your head held high and a real sense of purpose.
